UNSGAB Chair HRH the Prince of Orange visited Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon in his office in New York on February 20th, 2007. They discussed various issues on how the Board and the UN work together to advance water and sanitaion agenda in the world. Chair briefed progress of six key items of the Hashimoto Action Plan. Mr. Ban expressed his profound appreciation to the works of the Board. He looked forward to the Board's continuation of the works to advance agenda of water and sanitation towards achievement of Millenium Development Goals. Secretary-General agreed to continue discussion in future for further progress of actions. Ms. Margaret Catley-Carlson, Board Member, and H.E. Mr. Frank Majoor, Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the UN and Mr. Jose Antonio Ocampo, Under Secretary-General, UN-DESA were also present.
